My favorite cake recipe

I wanted to write everyday on my blog but with kids off from school for summer vacation time seems to fly .Anyways today I wanted to share a recipe that I use whenever I'm making cake from scratch , it's my every time hit cake recipe I also do experimenting with the recipe to make a different kinds of cakes, so this recipe is basically bundt pan recipe it cannot be made in any other pan as its heavy batter it won't rise in the middle.
Ok the ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 cup oil( vegetable oil works well)
1 cup sugar(sometimes I use half brown and half granulated sugar)
2 tsp baking powder
3 eggs

Directions:
Heat oven at 350 degrees and spray your bundt pan with any oil or you can oil it with a brush also ,mix baking powder with flour and then beat together oil and sugar I usually use whisk but electric beater can be used also, when sugar and oil form a creamy mixture add eggs one by one beating each egg thoroughly after each addition. Now start adding flour a tbsp at a time your batter would be thick one if it's too thick you can add a tsp or two of milk to loosen it up. Now put the batter in oiled pan and bake it in a preheated oven for 45 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean.let your cake cool down for 10 min and run a knife around the edges of your pan and flip it on nice plate .
One thing in the beginning I said I experiment also with this recipe so putting down some variations that can be used to make this cake.
1. Marble cake
When your batter is ready take out 3 serving spoons of the batter In a separate bowl and mix in 3 tbsp of chocolate flavored drink mix ( powder or liquid ) to this batter ,mix well and make layers of the plain and chocolate batter and when you are done swirl in it with to make pattern .
2. Orange blast
Add orange zest in the flour mixture with baking powder and half cup orange juice to the prepared batter and make sure you don't add milk at end ad you are using orange juice as a loosening agent for batter.one thing that makes this cake even better is an orange glaze ( recipe follows)pour it
On a cooled cake before serving.

Orange glaze:

2 cups of powdered sugar sifted
4 tablespoons of orange juice (fresh is always better)

Slowly add orange juice a tsp at a time to powdered sugar adding a little more orange juice if necessary.until desired consistency is achieved
Drizzle over a cooled cake.and enjoy

I think you will also enjoy making this recipe . I'm adding picture of my recently made orange blast cake .
