Assalamo alaikum,
As a member of mena cooking club this month Amira from Arabian Mama challenged us to make one of a dish from her selection of two choices from country DJIBOUTI  which is located in the horn of Africa  it was really exciting as I have never had food from Djibouti .
The two dishes were
Savory: Skoudehkaris  or Maraq Fahfah
Sweet: Banana Fritters

I decided to do Banana fritter being a big sweet person I just need excuse to make or eat some thing sweet , we were given an  example and I searched online also and  found my Somali food ,here is how I made delicious Easy Banana Fritter light and fluffy!!!!

Banana Fritters


1 Ripe peeled Banana
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 egg
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/8 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
powdered sugar for sprinkling
oil for deep frying

Blend together all the ingredients except powdered sugar and oil in a blender

fry the fritters in medium hot oil until golden brown( it wont take long  so keep an eye)

Dust with powdered sugar and 

serve warm and enjoy !!!
